The listing photos for this property are incredibly misleading and do not reflect its current state. From the moment we arrived, the entrance was severely overgrown with thorny bushes that actually scraped some of our guests. The rest of the yard was unkempt with long grass, a dirty grill area, and multiple missing outdoor seating areas, including the pool table with the umbrella and the grill seating. Inside was no better. The house wasn't cleaned properly, the general areas were dirty, towels were stained, there was hair left in the beds, and the room with the bunk beds had really dirty carpets. To make matters worse, we found a used vape and a dead roach in the master bedroom, and the upstairs shower didn't have any hot water. Very disappointed with the lack of care and false advertising.
I appreciated that the home was spacious enough to comfortably host our women’s retreat of 18 guests, and the host was very responsive throughout our stay. Unfortunately, there were several maintenance issues that made the property feel a bit neglected. The grounds were not well maintained, and the grass had not been cut. The pool area was very dark at night, and there were a few bats around the trees directly above the pool. We also noticed several wasp nests around the deck area, which made spending time outside a little uncomfortable. Inside the home, there were multiple areas needing paint touch-ups, noticeable stains in the upstairs bunk room, and several comforters with large yellow stains. Additionally, the pullout bed in the primary bedroom was completely broken and unusable. Overall, the home has a lot of potential and worked well for accommodating a large group. With some routine maintenance, updated furnishings, and a little more attention to cleanliness it would be amazing.
Great place to stay in Austin! The home is conveniently located, clean, and very spacious. The host was great at communicating and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Bring extra towels for a large group if you’re planning to use the wonderful pool and hot tub.
